About Storm Model 3.5hp-4.5hp-5.5hp
The starting point in pool pump selection is circulation, not pressure: the whole volume of the pool must pass through the filter within the target time. An oversized pump reduces filter efficiency and raises energy consumption.
Because the body and impeller are plastic, they provide corrosion resistance against chlorinated and salt water. On pre-filter models the hair and leaf strainer basket protects the impeller from coarse debris and extends the maintenance interval; single-phase models are for domestic use and three-phase for commercial.
