Lobe Blower and Vacuum Booster
Lobe blowers (Roots type) move large volumes of air at low differential pressure with two rotors that turn without touching. Vacuum boosters are the vacuum-side counterpart of the same design: they do not work alone but are placed ahead of a backing pump. The catalog covers helical lobe and tri-lobe models.

About Lobe Blower and Vacuum Booster
Because the rotors touch neither each other nor the casing, no lubrication is needed in the compression space and the conveyed air stays oil-free. In pneumatic conveying, wastewater aeration and process air applications this is a decisive property. The helical lobe design gives smoother flow and lower noise than a straight-lobe layout.
Models in our catalog offer capacities from 330 m³/h to 13,000 m³/h. Standard production is direct-coupled and water-cooled; belt-driven, inverter-controlled and thermostatically protected versions can also be built. Operating temperature is between -20 and +40 °C.
A vacuum booster multiplies pumping speed in the pressure range the backing pump cannot reach alone — it is sized together with the backing pump, particularly in processes that must go below 1 mbar.
