About Systems
They are supplied as units because a liquid ring pump does not run on its own: the service liquid must be separated, cooled and fed back. When that circuit is assembled on site, sizing errors and water or oil consumption problems follow; in a ready-built unit the circuit is already engineered.
Water-circulated units operate down to 33 mbar absolute with 15 °C service water. Oil-circulated units use no water, eliminating water consumption and scaling, and reach 10 mbar absolute. On a two-stage booster system the attainable pressure falls to 1–5 mbar.
A closed circuit means the service liquid is reused rather than discarded — decisive in plants that carry a water cost and a discharge load. Which circuit is appropriate is determined by the process temperature and the target pressure.
