Helical Gear Pumps
In helical gear pumps the teeth are cut at a helix angle rather than parallel to the shaft. Because the teeth mesh gradually instead of abruptly, flow is smoothed and noise and vibration are reduced. The catalog covers the KHP and KCP series.

About Helical Gear Pumps
The practical meaning of the helix angle is this: in a spur gear pump every tooth engagement produces a small pressure pulse, whereas in a helical gear pump that transition is spread out. The result is less fatigue on sensitive pipework and quieter operation. The design also delivers stable flow at high viscosity.
Models in our catalog offer threaded connections from ½" to 6" and maximum flows from 0.54 m³/h to 25 m³/h, with displacement per revolution between 0.006 L/rev and 0.417 L/rev. The pressure range is 2–14 bar, temperature 20–200 °C and viscosity 100–25,000 cP.
They are used to transfer oils, greases, resins, adhesives and similar viscous fluids. Casing and gear materials and the sealing type are selected according to the application; a heating jacket can be added for hot fluids.
