Lobe Pumps
In lobe pumps the elements that move the fluid are not gears but two lobes that rotate without touching. Because the lobe profile leaves generous cavities, the fluid is transferred without being crushed. The catalog includes three sizes of the KLP series.
-
"KLP2" Lobe Pump
- Maximum Flow Rate 9 m³/h
- Flow Rate 0.333 L/rev
- Pressure Range 2–14 bar
-
KLP 1½" Lobed Pump
- Maximum Flow Rate 3,6 m³/h
- Flow Rate 0.125 L/rev
- Pressure Range 2–14 bar
-
KLP 2½" Lobe Pump
- Maximum Flow Rate 20 m³/h
- Flow Rate 0.667 L/rev

About Lobe Pumps
The reason this design is chosen is low shear: in food, cosmetics and similar products, consistency, emulsion or particle structure is carried across intact. As the lobes never touch each other, friction-related wear and the risk of metal particles are also limited. The same property lets them pass fluids containing solid particles more tolerantly than a gear pump.
Models in our catalog offer 1½", 2" and 2½" flanged / union connections with maximum flows of 3.6 m³/h, 9 m³/h and 20 m³/h; displacement per revolution is 0.125, 0.333 and 0.667 L/rev respectively. The pressure range is 2–14 bar, temperature 20–200 °C and viscosity 100–25,000 cP.
Casings are GG25 cast iron / AISI 316 stainless steel and the lobes AISI 316 stainless steel. Bearings are rolling-element and sealing is by soft or mechanical seal; a heating jacket can be added for hot fluids.
